Hankook MSA Scottish Rally Championship
Round 5: RSAC Scottish Rally, 26 June 2010

Reigning champion David Bogie was in dominant form on Saturday's RSAC Scottish Rally to secure his third victory of the 2010 Hankook MSA Scottish Rally championship.

The Dumfries competitor was fastest through four of the six bone-dry stages in his re-engined Mitsubishi Evo 9 to finish with a total time of 44 minutes 20.8 seconds, 19.2 seconds ahead of last year's winner Mike Faulkner in an Evo 6.

Hard-charging David Wilson from Alness secured the final podium spot – and Hankook Group N honours - a further 56.6 seconds adrift in his Evo 9.

With three rounds remaining, Bogie now leads the overall standings by five points from Andy Horne, who in turn is eight points ahead of third-placed Alick Kerr.

Round 3: Hartlepool Championship Autotest, 27 June 2010

Alastair Moffatt made it a hat-trick of wins in 2010, when he took FTD at the Hartlepool Championship Autotest.  This year’s event had moved to the seafront at Seaton Carew, the test site overlooking the beach providing a pleasant backdrop, along with good viewing for spectators.  Moffatt’s day did not start well though, when a throttle cable broke on the opening test, allowing 2007 Champion Paul Swift to take an early lead. Swift, however, then promptly had a wrong test on the next test, promoting Mike Sones into the lead, but by test 6 Moffatt had put in some stunning times to overhaul Sones and regain the lead. He steadily increased the margin to win by nearly 29 seconds from the Vauxhall Nova of David Thompson, with Mike Sones finishing in 3rd.

Event Top 6
1. Alastair Moffatt - Mini Special - 558.2
2. David Thompson – Nova - 586.9

4. Malcolm Livingston – Lindsay - 594.0
5. Henry Moorhouse - Mini Special - 599.3

MSA British Car Trial Championship
Round 7: Wye Valley Car Trial, Hereford
Ross & District MSC, 27 June 2010

Duncan Stephens won the Wye Valley Car Trial on Sunday to extend his lead in the MSA championship, driving his Vauxhall Nova. Stephens slowly extended his lead in the class over Barrie Parker to win the event by the closest margin in years. Thomas Bricknell wheeled out his classic trials-prepared Escort for BTRDA Allrounders points and won the highly modified class to finish very close behind in second overall. Bill Moffatt made least mistakes in the rear wheel drive class, winning the class for the first time in nearly ten years and taking a close third overall, while Dave Walker won the new car class for the first time, finishing seventh overall in a recently purchased Corsa.
